The Work Environment
We are located in vibrant and beautiful Ithaca, NY with direct access to faculty at Cornell University. We work in a spacious office which is designed to support an open and collaborative team environment. The office is located within a newly renovated former factory, is only minutes to Cornell and downtown Ithaca , and has breathtaking views of Cayuga Lake. We also have a number of corporate account directors located across the United States.

Quality Assurance Analyst
eCornell has a reputation for creating the highest quality online learning experiences in the e-learning industry. We are looking for experienced part-time (20-32 hrs per week) QA analyst to perform testing and analysis on all of eCornell's Web-based courses and applications. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, providing many opportunities to apply your analytical and problem-solving skills in our fast-paced and collaborative environment. You will also be responsible for improving and developing test cases and quality assurance processes. Your strengths in identifying, troubleshooting, clearly articulating issues, and balancing multiple projects of varying priority, will be central to eCornell's ability to bring world-class learning to students all over the planet.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with at least 2 years experience testing software applications
  • Thorough understanding of QA testing techniques and best practices
  • Experience developing test cases and scripts from business requirements
  • Solid background working with Web technologies and Apple and Windows
  • based systems (including Vista, Office 2007)
  • Familiarity with automated testing technologies, including load testing
  • Experience with software development life cycles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong self
  • management and organizational skills
  • Excellent multi
  • tasking skills
  • Strong proofreading skills
  • Testing experience in a Java/JSP/XML/HTML/Flash database
  • enabled environment preferred
  • Customer care skills strongly preferred
