ACE CREDIT Recommendations
Many eCornell Certificate Programs have been recommended for college credit by the
American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service
(CREDIT). The American Council on Education (ACE) is the major coordinating body for
all the nation's higher education institutions. For 31 years, colleges and universities
have trusted ACE to provide reliable course equivalency information to facilitate credit
award decisions. The American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation
Service (CREDIT), offered through ACE's Center for Lifelong Learning (CLLL), helps
adults obtain college credit for formal courses and examinations taken outside college
and university degree programs.
More than 900 colleges and universities participate in the ACE Cooperating College
and University Network. This network consists of traditional and online colleges and
universities that rely on ACE college credit recommendations as they consider how
employer and training provider courses, apprenticeship programs, and examinations fit
into academic degree programs. The network membership includes such institutions as
Binghamton University, Boston College, Boston University, Florida State University,
George Washington University, Johns Hopkins University, Kaplan University, Pennsylvania
State University, University of Buffalo, University of California Berkeley, and the
University of Phoenix. For a complete list of cooperating colleges and universities,
visit the ACE website.
