The HR Directors Certification HRDC1

A practical, business-driven approach to HR leadership.

The HR Directors Certification

The HR Directors Certification is an elite online program from eCornell and Cornell University's ILR School that addresses the growing need for a practical, business-driven approach to human resources in today's global workplace. The program will give graduate students the knowledge required to understand and develop effective HR strategies. But it will also provide graduates with the leadership, coaching, negotiation, and change management skills needed to drive and enable business results across the organization. The focus of the program is to certify  HR Directors and equip them with the knowledge and ability to make human  resources integral to any organization's success.

The HR Directors Certification consists of four main components:

  • Emerging and Advanced HR MasterCourses
  • Leadership MasterCourses
  • Participation in 4 ILR faculty Webcasts (live or archived)
  • Portfolio project - Application into Practice

The Benefits Continue ...

Once you’ve completed the program, you’ll receive a certificate from the ILR School. The nine credits earned in the certificate program may be transferred to the Master of Industrial and Labor Relations (MILR) Program or the Master of Professional Studies - Ithaca (MPS-Ithaca) Program.* You’ll also receive advice on how to present this new asset to your current employer or to prospective employers, as well as access to specialized employment networks, online social support, and entrance to eCornell’s extensive, vibrant alumni network. Authored by members of the ILR School faculty, the certificate program goes beyond a textbook approach and uses real-world, interactive, problem-based instruction.

* Admittance into ILR Graduate programs is not guaranteed; students must apply and be accepted into the specific program to which they are applying. If admitted to the MILR or MPS-Ithaca Program, credits may be applied as elective credit with the approval of the Graduate Committee. The credits are not transferable to the MPS-NYC Program.
